Disable IPv6 in Cent OS (Fedora Based Systems)

In this Post i have explained the steps to disable IPv6 in Cent OS(Fedora Based) Systems.

Follow the steps to disable IPv6 in Cent OS()

  1. Open a terminal window.
  2. Change to the root user.
  3. Type the command sysctl -w net.ipv6.conf.all.disable_ipv6=1
  4. Type the command sysctl -w net.ipv6.conf.default.disable_ipv6=1

To enable IPv6, Use the following commands:

  1. Open a terminal window.
  2. Change to the root user.
  3. Type the command sysctl -w net.ipv6.conf.all.disable_ipv6=0
  4. Type the command sysctl -w net.ipv6.conf.default.disable_ipv6=0
